CEMENT FINISHER

Responsibilities:

• Prepare concrete surfaces for finishing by setting forms, ensuring proper alignment, and applying release agents.
• Pour concrete into forms and spread it evenly using shovels, rakes, and screeds.
• Operate power trowels, floats, and other hand tools to finish concrete surfaces to the desired smoothness and texture.
• Apply curing compounds or sealers to protect concrete surfaces from premature drying and cracking.
• Repair and patch damaged or uneven concrete surfaces as needed.
• Install control joints and expansion joints to minimize cracking and control shrinkage.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cement Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA certification and/or other relevant certifications preferred.
